what bars/bushing prevent wheel hop?

what strut bars and bushings out there will help prevent wheel hop at high rpm launches? from what i can tell so far, the best thing out right now for it is front control arm bushings, is this correct? i know engine mount bushings would help too, but there arent any. thanks for the help.

Control arm bushings and a under brace (neuspeed or tanabe) will do a little, and I mean a very little. Motor mounts would be your best bet. Search around. Someone filled OEM mounts with polyurethane and they seemed to like them. That is all that is availble. There aren't any traction bars out yet either.

do you think energy suspension front control arm bushings would help?

couldn't tell ya. optoisolator is the only one I know of who has them installed. I haven't put mine in yet. I don't understand why you are getting so much wheel hop. you aren't boosting are you? Get better tires, that might help.

ya, it might be the tires, but im not sure. the tires are 205/40/17 kuhmo escta 712. when i would go to the track i dropped the tire pressure down to about 20 psi on the 17s and i still was hopping alot when i would launch around 5k. you would just feel the car bouncing at the line and hopping alot. maybe im launching too high, i dont know. ill do some more trial and error this summer.

EternalVTEC is an unknown quantity at this point
ok, first strut tower bars will NOT help, in fact, they will make the wheel hop WORSE!

two. the reason youre getting so much wheel hop, i would bet money, is cause you have very little sidewall on those tires. theyre like rubber bands. see, in drag racing, more sidewall is beneficial. when you launch, the sidewall makes up the difference between the wheel and the contact patch/road surface. did you ever see a Top Fueler's tires "wrinkle"? theyre designed to do that. you would have much better results if you would put your stockers on there and took a few passes. im sure youd have similar, if not better times. better 60ft times. and less wheel hop. the better times would be due to (a) more traction from less wheel hop. and (b) lighter stock wheels= less rotational mass(easier for the motor toa accelerate.) hope that helps!
