DIY: Hayame Rear - Front not complete

Aite guys, I'm new at this stuff, but i'll give it a shot.

THis is a Hayame DIY for those of you who plan to get or have gotten the Hayame coilover system, and since most of you know what the hell is going on neway, this one won't be that in depth, but will note general problems and small issues that you may or may not run into.

here we go!

--- here's my car with stock struts and ground controls ---

this is the rear of the car, the next following steps will be for the rear assembly install only

Of course, this is all done after your car is lifted and wheels off

--- Next is the shot of the first bolt that I loosened ---

this one was pretty hard for me to get off...after you unscrew it for a while, you notice it stops comming out, so then you pull on the bolt, and it should come out. If it jammed like mine did, you have to swirve it around and try to wedge it out.

Ok, now you go into your trunk, scoot your rear seats in, and pull up the corner carpeting to expose the strut mounting points. Unbolt the 2 bolts with a 14 mm deep socket with wrench, these were a b*tch for me when i didn't have the deep socket head, the shallow one won't work cause the bolt is too long for it

after you unbolt those, go back out under the car, and push the stock strut out and wedge the whole assembly off, and wedge the hayame assembly in the stock position. I pretuned the hayame's before I put them in so they would all be at the same height. you can do it for what ever ride heigt you like.

TO finish it off, use the lugs provided by hayame to secure the 2 in-car mounting points, and then put the BIG bolt back through the bottom end of the strut connected to chassy

Here's a pic of the finished product

good pix but what are all those random wires in you back seat?? you've either got a nice system being installed or you like selling wire door to door.

yes i did...it adjusts the length of the strut like vinlilman said, instead of compressing the spring. Works wonders!!
