Hey crew, I plan on purchasing 17” wheels with 215/45/17 tires for my 2001 Coupe and have researched suspension mods extensively but would like your suggestions/advice.

I would like a 1” drop with the 17’s and would accomplish this with lowering springs (Eibach Pro-kit or Tein Tech), simple front camber kit, and stock struts. I’m hoping that this combination will lower the ride while maintaining ride quality or even slightly improving it.

I really don’t want to break the bank with complete coilovers and they don’t seem necessary for a 1” drop. What do you think?

i have h&r sport 1.3" on my ride with 215/45/17 tires, ride quality is not bad, but not good either, bouncy and u definitely will feel every bump, but im a tolerable person so my i think my ride is ok, its better if u get koni shocks, not as expensive as coilovers but it'll do the job if u not into racing

the eibach pro kit will do just fine. The stock shocks will weaken a little bit over time, but a 1" drop isn't so bad. You might not even need camber kits, but it is suggested. If you plan on keeping your car for a long time and want it to ride nice then I suggest tein basics. They will cost around 750-800 but it is a full replacement.
