Lightbulb Tie-Rod info please!

I was wondering, are the tie-rods supposed to have bearings inside them, the black rubber part? I have been having some noises when i turn the wheel. Upon inspection of the tierods, i noticed that they were cracked open. When i seen that it was cracked open, i opened the black rubber parts and their was nothing inside. Also my tie rod was very thin, as if it were smushed or something. is it totally nessasary to buy 2 new tierods? I applied ALOT of grease inside the rubber housing, tightened the tierod bolt down a liitle further than normal, sound went away considerably, but still makes some noise. I found no useful info when searching. Thanks

Kore is an unknown quantity at this point
did you install new coil overs? cuz that seems to be the major problem..the noise is coming from the sprints not the tie rods.. This happen to me too, both ruber dust boost were busted and i replaced the tie rods and the noise still kept going.... there's another thread that you can find some answers the noise problem.... as for me, i busted the replaced tie rods with power tools and now i have to replace them once more...
