Scraping with Tanabe!?
Does anybody else SCRAPE all the damn time with their Tanabe catback????
Its driving me nuts, no matter how slow, how crooked, and how much I avoid inclines and driveways, i scrape the hell outta it. It hits the mid-pipe alot and on inclines (even small ones!!!) the end of the muffler.
I heard Tanabe doesnt scrape much when I got it, Im probably dropped about 2" (all the way down on my Tein SS) with 205/40/17 tires and NOTHING in the trunk (no subs or anything).

same here...scrappin like crazy...i got GC's, RAISED ALL THE WAY UP!! barely 1 finger gap between wheel well and tire (velox 17's with 215/40/17)
i look under that car, and i can see the mid pipe hanging down like a b*tch, but the rear doesn't look too low, dunno why that scrapes. O well, when this one dies, i'm gonna invest in somethin else, RS-R seems like a good option, the damn canister is like hidden and doesn't droop at all. =/

Yeah, I wanted the RS-R or the Tanabe, ended up Tanabe (obviously).
Oh well, I will be selling the Tanabe and some other stuff if I ever get my SI...
Well- good to know everybody else is scraping too. I remember RedDragon telling me he nevers scrapes, HOW??

Yea, that's because there is no canister......the RS-R is a muffler-type exhaust, not a canister-type.

are there canister types that don't scrape? i saw the DC TCS system, those are also more hidden than the tanabe. I looked under a 7th gen with one o those, and it doesn't bulge out that much. But since it's DC, i rather not. No diss to anyone with DC, its a personal thing
is the ultra even gonna be out for our cars? and is it really better than the racing? i dont even have my car lowered and i scrape sometimes, i have to go 1mph over speed bumps otherwise there goes midpipe, down the shore goin in and out of parkin lots at resturaunts those ***'s have such steep driveways i scraped my canister every time even goin at an angle thats the only thing makin me not wanna lower my car, bottomin out my exhaust everywhere
