Drop comparisions

My friend has a 95 ex with a 2 1/4 drop and it's barely driveable in my town. I'm thinking of trying the eibach kit, but does 1 3/4 in. drop on a 02 equate to a 1 3/4 drop on a previous year? Basically i'm worried that by dropping mine by 1 3/4 it'll be as unberable as my friend's 2 1/4.

Not sure if I can adequately answer your question, but I think the previous generation Civics sat lower at stock height than ours does. Your final drop will also depend on the size of your tire/wheels setup though. Bigger wheels gives the impression that you're higher up.

eibach sportlines

i think you are refering to the eibach sportlines right? well i have those springs, with si wheels, and i can barely fit my finger in between the tire and fender...its not a huge drop, its a nice drop though...definitely drivable...like he said, the old civics sat lower, ours look like monster trucks when they come out of the showroom . therefore you hafta drop them :

Hmm, I'm dropped on Sportlines with 215/40/18s and I still got enough fender gap to where I can fit a finger in. LOL! Then again, maybe it's cause I'm a girl with smaller fingers...

I can tell you that I had to take my driveway pretty slow when I had my 17s though. But now that I'm running 18s, they put me an inch higher and I don't scrap going up my driveway anymore. That's what I meant by how your final drop will depend on your wheels/tires setup.
