What's that bar that stabalizes the car from front to back?
Someone posted a pic of jacking one corner of the car up and the whole side raised due to this bar. What's that bar, what does it do, and would you recommend it?
Thanks.

??????Bar?????
you can lift the whole side of any unibody car...... as long as you put the jack in the right spot and it can raise the car sufficently. thats how I change out my race and street tires, 1 side at a time......
You may be talking about an Anti-roll bar.
Taken form HERE (So I dont have to repeat my self)
Anti-roll bars are quite possably the best addition to cars since tires. They provide an excellent means for adjusting roll couple Distribution (Handling balance). they also control body roll, reducing camber change through corners. Of the two jobs that an Anti-Rollbar does, Adjusting the Roll Couple Distrobution is the MOST important. So just what is roll couple distribution? Simply put, roll couple distribution is the amout of roll resistance at the front of the car relative to the amount at the rear. Changing the roll couple distribution balance changes the handling balance of the car. If you increase the front roll resistance, the handling balance will change. If the car was neutral before the change, the car will now Understeer. If the car understeered prior to the change, it will understeer more, and if it oversteered, it will oversteer less after the change. The opposite effect occurs at the rear, where increasing rear roll resistance will increse oversteer or reduce understeer. The roll resistance can be increased by incerasing either the sping rates or the antiroll bar rates, or both. This makes roll resistance changes the key to finding a perfect steady-state handling balance. Adjustible antirollbars allow fin-tuning of the roll couple distribution making setup much easier.
Looks something like this
One is adjustible the other is not.

they attach where the bottom seat belt bracket attaches. You can technically custom one but if you plan on doing AutoX or road racing they may not be legal. i thought about it, but not sure if they would allow it in the SCCA.

Depends on what class, but I'm 99% sure they would not be legal for STS.
17.8. SUSPENSION
G. Strut bars are permitted with all types of suspension. Strut bars may be mounted only transversely across the car from upper right to upper left suspension mounting point and from lower right to lower left suspension mounting point. No other configuration is permitted. Additional holes may be drilled for mounting bolts. Only bolt-on attachment is permitted.
Do-luck makes a rear cross-bar for the EP3 and DC5. I'm sure one of those will fit. Expensive though.

Heh - my car does this, and I don't even have this bar! How do you ask? My mods:
-Front and rear progress sway bars
-Poly bushings all around
-KW coilovers
-Neuspeed X-brace
-Neuspeed upper strut bar
-Spoon rear upper strut bar
I can jack the car up in the front or rear and the whole side comes up, heheh, just wish there were some roads around here in Pasadena / Houston where I could test these mods!

Yeah, I tried this with a jack. My car does the same thing that artychris's does. Although his has stiffer springs, so the suspension doesn't drop as much. That makes it look like it's stiffer.
I plan on making and selling such a floor bar if I can do so for a reasonable cost. We'll see...
