Spring Noise

I have been searching on the forum looking for the source of my rattle coming from my drop springs... What i have come up with from whats been said on here is that the coils of the springs are hitting one another? I am just trying to figure out what it is for sure so i can fix it... anyone here have any suggestions?

When going over bumps on the road, does the sound seem to travel, so you can feel it through your steering rack and can be heard under your gear shift?

If so, coil wraps could be the answer, but it could also be something lose giving vibration through the steering.

HYPR DRV will become famous soon enough
I find it really hard to believe that you couldn't find any significant info pertaining to this issue. I, myself, have replied to at least a dozen of these posts. It's the metal spring rattling against the metal perch. To fix it, get a coil wrap or a spring isolator (can be found on bottom of stock springs) and wrap that around the bottom coil before setting the spring back in the perch. Removal of the spring is necessary in this situation.

HYPR DRV .............. I did the above a couple of months ago, but what if you can hear a harder than normal clunk under the gear shift while riding bumps. Could this sound be travelling from this area.

Lek: Sorry it took a while to get back to ya. Not sure what the louder or "harder" clunk would be caused by. But your springs aren't located anywhere near the gear shift, so I would have to say the noise is probably unrelated to the springs or shocks. However, that is merely speculation since I'm not hearing the same noise you are. Might ask a professional (non-Honda dealer), IMO.
