Question Picture of stock strut perch cut.

I'm looking for a pic of it. I was told it was on the forum somewhere. Reason for cutting it is to lower the car on sleeved coilovers further.

Yeah, I know it sounds kinda ghetto but I'd just like to see.

why is it ghetto? your actually supposed to cut it. reason being the perch gets in the way and doesnt allow you to drop the car all the way(well some claimed they were able to with the perch on).
i saw a picture of ground controls on turbo mag with the perch cut off and it looked so clean that it almost looked like true coilovers at a glance.

I can sell you my stock front shocks. I had to cut them for my Skunk2 and they are in good condition. PM if interested.

I just found out that they had to be cut... and I found the picture BTW. It was a clean cut. Are the rear's supposed to be cut? I forgot how it looks back there...

The perch does get in the way... I lowered the front of my car all the way just to take pics but was kinda not happy from the results. (Some wheel gap, but looks better - struts bottom out like there's no tomorrow.)

So yeah, now I just need to know what tools do you use to cut the perch with? I'm gonna do it next week so I won't be called on for not having a slammed ride.

Here's a pic of how low GCs will go in the front on a coupe with the perch uncut. I have plenty of room in the rear to go lower.

zell the rear doesnt have to be cut, but u were probably going to use a grinder and hacksaw to cut the lower spring perch

when i recieved my skunk2's it said in the manual to cut the front perch for easier adjustability. but i didnt just in case i wanted to go back to stock. but you are supposed to. i ve heard from eg owners that you can go lower by cutting the perch and putting the sleeve upside down and some other crap. but ive just heard about it.but i myself wouldnt do it unless i knew what i was really doing it.but it looks like the rear of our cars, if you cut the perch the sleeve wont have anyhting to sit on.

u dont have to cut the lower spring perch, u only want to cut the lower spring perch, if u plan to lower it more, cuz the lock ring will get stuck in the perches
