Coilovers or Springs
I have a 2001 ex coupe. Is there a bigger benfit to have coilovers then springs? Besides letting the car have a increased number of lowering stances, do coilovers out perform springs? Down here in Louisiana potholes are everywhere. Would springs help me because of the greater distance from the ground? Are there certain coilovers or springs than dont perform as well as the company says? Thanx.
With springs its a set height, you cant change it. With sleeved coilovers you will also need new shocks and you can change the height when you want to. True coilovers which I got ar also adjustable height. Get true coilovers cuz they cost around 1000 even cuz with the cost of springs is around 150 then shocks which is 550 then a camber kit thats 130 your gonna spend about 850-900 bucks. get true coilovers. i had neuspeed race springs and koni shocks and konis suk. when me and my boy were putting them on the dam ring broke that holds the springs. a dam ring holding like 600 lbs. cmon thats shitty. buy true coilovers.

What brand to you have? I was thinking about getting true coilovers. Do the coilovers give a good ride? I need coilovers (or springs) that last. True colovers give you the skocks, springs, and camber kit in one? Thanx for the info.
i have skunk2 sleeved coilovers, i would recommend getting full coilovers if you can afford them, if not just wait. I love my skunk2 coilovers but my shocks are blown. You won't have that problem with full coilovers. If you drop your car with springs or sleeved coilovers your shocks will blow no matter what, its just a matter of time.
