Your Koni or Tein Experience??

Heard Koni's are pretty harsh, i'm thinking of neuspeed race and Koni, how is everyones ride with Koni compared to stock or lowered but with stock shocks?

Same question for Tein

my old set-up was Eibach pro-kit with stock shocks. one of my stock shocks blew out, and i think another one was on its way out as well,..

so instead of getting the Koni's and dealing with all that hacking of the stock housings. i decided to get the Tein SS instead.

as of now i think they ride smoother on the standard setting than my old set-up did. they definately have much much better front-to-rear, and side-to-side body roll. i haven't messed with the settings all that much yet. but so far I'm very satisfied.

i have them at about a two finger gap front & rear, with 17" wheels.

i can't really remember the ride with the stock shocks with stock springs that well, such a long time ago..

I see, Tein should be good but its quite expensive, I feel kinda guilty spending so much on the civic as it is......

I have Koni and Ground-Controls on my car and the ride is stiff, but it does not bounce at all. The schocks are really nice, but it came out to be the same price as the Tein SS costs, so my advice is just to get the Teins so you will have an easy install time.

I'll see whats the best price i can get for them, otherwise I doubt I can afford them..... but it does seem like the best way to go, only problem is, i think you can't go very low correct? only 1.75

yea... i have ground control and koni and while i was cutting the front up to install the koni, i hacked off the perch too so now i can slam the car to the ground...

i guess this setup is good if you want to slam your car for a show... but if your civ is jus gonna be a daily driver or your gonna be all go then get teins...

I just had my koni's installed and I have had skunk2 coilovers but my stock shocks were blown even before I lowered my car. Now 4 days later my car has an appointment to get the shocks fixed!!! ( They are noisy as hell....all this money i've spent on parts and labor, if I could go back in time I would just buy the teins!!!!

I have Ground Control and Koni and it is very stiff. Its a lil bouncy on bad roads but it handles great. I can take some tight turns with no problems and it rides great on good roads. My only problem is that when I have people in the back seat the back will bounce too much.

its the ground control coilovers that are causing ur car to bounce, not the konis. the spring on the coilver arent progressive springs unilike lowering springs whcih are.

I have tein SS and they are awesome...... quite expensive, but its worth every penny ..
I really haven't had any bad experience with my Tein, mine is also dropped on the lowest settings, with the standard damper settings.....

i have teins, i love it. always get compliments on the ride. it rides real nice, a lot better than my GC's. In all honesty, GC's are garbage. 300 dollar suspension vs. 1000 dollar suspension, you get what you pay for.
