To me:
In regards to your question. The Flex kit for the 01+ Civiclater this year .
And using and modifying the RSX Super Street damper is
not recommend. Due to the fact that the Super Street kit for the RSX was not
designed for the 01+ Civic. Second, the main difference between the Super
Street kit and the Basic kit is that the Super street kit allows the driver
to have 16 ways dampen force adjustment, where the basic does not. But the
two coilover system still shares ride height adjustability. Please contact
anyone of our sales at the office for further assistance.

Rep Power: 388 I emailed them too. They told me that the Flex for the RSX would not work. I will believe it when I see it for the civic 01+ flex kit. I would also like to know the numbers on that thing.

Rep Power: 357 I dont know, the KW's look better all the time (Version 3). and from what I understand, they will happily put what ever spring rate you want on them (So if you like the Flex set up go with their spring rates). Camber adjustment is the only thing thats up in the air with them right now. And I can make camberplates if nessisary (Several friends are mechanical engineers, as well as Machinists) I only need access to a machine shop. the whole edfc is nice and all, but its my understanding that there is not enouh clearance between the top of the strut and the hood for it to fit. (Think of it, you need to dirll a hole in the hood for the top of the strut to fit through, and now you want to put a controler on top of that? wheres it going to fit?)

Rep Power: 0 regarding BASIC vs. SS, I'm interested in knowing if the ride height adjustment range is the same. Tein's online spec sheet states 1" adjustability for the BASIC and 2" for the SS. is this true? based on pictures, the two dampers look the same. also, I'd like to know about the dampening level the BASICs come with - is it the same as the factory recommended setting for the SS? is the BASIC dampening level geared toward sport or comfort? I've emailed Tein, but if anyone here has an opinion...

Rep Power: 388 I dont think it will fit at all, but you never know until someone tries.
hey Zzyzx, are you seriously going to try to make camber plates yourself?
The ride height of the SS and basic are the same. The only difference is there is no damper adjustability.

Rep Power: 0 I spoke to an authorized TEIN dealer over here in Cali, and he called TEIN personally, and they said the FLEX for 01+ civics is going to come out by the end of this year. Has TEIN been ontime with their releases? If so, I'll be looking forward to this Flex system. Priced at $1700 (i think) I better start saving up soon! ^_^ ... oh yah..for those of you who're interested, TEIN also said they're making an EDFC that will fit our cars too! W00T!!! And for SS owners, I think this EDFC system will bolt on to your setup! ARen't you glad?!!?!?! HOpe TEIN follows through with all this.

Rep Power: 0 A member has already used the RSX kit on his car. I can't remember his name but he had to cut one of the hood cross braces to make it fit. He showed pictures too. You could not even tell it from the outside. I think Tein is trying to just sell the new product. You see they did not say it would not work, just it was not recommended. The guy who did this may have problems with it in the future, but it does fit. Try doing a search if you have not yet. It may have been back on the old site.
With all of that said I would wait, if for no other reason than it may be cheaper.
