Well unlike the name implies (from what I hear) - they don't make your drive any cushier! In fact I would use them for racing/track only since I think they creak like a SOB (due to the all metal design). Of course, don't take my word for it since I'm not a suspension fanatic.

I do want nice suspsenion, just not my teeth rattling when I go over bumps and all.

Pillow ball upper mounts are great! But only for performance handling.

Normally the upper mount is Cushioned, by either Rubber (Stock) or polyurethane, this allows for the upper mount to flex, altering the gerometry of the suspension. This is bad for handling but good for making a soft/comfortable ride. A pillow Ball upper, has no Cushining, which allows for no deflection in the upper mount of the suspension, thus improving handling. the down side is that there is no cushining, so ride quality deteriorates.

I would say, only get them if you are REALLY in to performance handling over ride comfort.
