Arrow Coilovers VS Springs

I got this R1 Coilover kit. Its not the full strut, it just has that adjustable part. How bad are these coilovers compared to the regular loweing springs? I mean, I heard that the coilover kits break after a period of time...

i dont' think they will break, but your going to have a pretty bouncy ride, i have Skunk 2 with my stock shocks and my car doesn't handle bumps to well! I would say, you should have got lowering springs

they allow the adjustment of your height whereas regular ones dont. As far as them lasting i think its allin you get what you pay for.

honestly your gonna get that with any ride and stock shocks. The OEM ones arent designed to handle the height adjustment. When you really look at it by the time you spend the money on coilover sleeves, then aftermarket shocks youve already spent close to what real coilovers cost which is truely the way to go

do your stock shock absorbers blow out no matter what eventually if you install lowering springs, and the drop is only 1.3 inches???

i had been running with the stock shocks on my mustang for close to a year with a 2-2.5 inch drop, crappy bouncy ride, but no damage done since i had them installed. i wouldn't recommend it, its dangerous to have your spring rate not match the shocks rating. in an emergancy maneuver, you could lose control much easier with the extra body roll. just my $0.02

you have damage to your shocks tho, it happens. I would spend the cash and get real coilovers

I went with DropZone coilovers and now am going with Neuspeed Sports...
i blew my shocks with the coilovers and the ride was harsh as ****... don't waste your time or money... you'll regret it...

i would rather go with sleeved coilovers than lowering springs because of the height adjustability. no matter what, if you lower your car, your OEM shocks will blow. But full coilvoers is the way to go. i have skunk2 coilovers and i love them, i got them for a steal, but sooner or later i will upgrade to full coilovers.

my stock shocks blew shortly after i put on my skunk2's. had to go get the konis. i have no real complaints about them but after looking back, if i had to do it again i'd go full coilover setup. just less of a hassle. although i don't think the full setup aloows you to go as low as coilover/koni setup.

this is exactly what happened to me...except i have Ground Control instead. If the tein and b&g coilovers were out when i first lowered my car 2 years ago...i would have gone for them, just because of the quality of these coilovers, and as buddha said...less hassle. The installation wouldn't be that hard either...just get a buddy to help ya out.
