Okay, well I talked to my dealer about getting my Tein SS today and how much to install, warranty, etc. First he said it would take 6 hours, and then I got him down to 4 if its just a bolt on (not modification needed to fit). They want $75 an hour. That alot of money but he said that if they do it, I get the benefits of having Honda install it and them basically looking the other way...Another guy at Honda said to keep it on the downlow, but he will install it for me at another shop (his second job) for $50 an hour.
Warranty wise- he basically said they look the other way with warranty stuff if they install it. He said though, I will void my stock suspension warranty (and thats it), but I should not have any problems with my Teins and that he himself is about to put them on his 2000 GSR.
Are these reasonable prices? I would really like Honda to install it becaues my mom already hates that Im doing this and will make her feel better, and me feel better cause I have a great Honda dealer that work with me quite a bit.

Rep Power: 0 i got mine put on by an alignment shop flat rate of 50 per corner took them 1.5 hours, and 4 wheel alignment for 60.
you still need camber kits though, i think it's better if you go straight to a shop that has worked with tein and civics and can give you an exact cost rather than a guess of how much per hour and not knowing exactly how long it will take, cause what are you gonna do if they take too long and only have part of the job done, you still have to pay someone else to finish the job

Rep Power: 297 it took them 1.5 hours for the whole thing or 1.5 a corner??
i honestly trust my honda dealer, they are awesome. and my quote was from my service adviser, not the tech's so he was just estimating.

Rep Power: 297 Oh damn!! i was quoted 4 hours today, but the guy wasnt totally sure how long it would take...
IF i look else where and find a better deal, he will match (and beat it). So ill look around. I wont be getting them till the end of the month (at the earliest).
You like them?

Rep Power: 0 um...don't take it to the dealer for stuff like that...install it at a shop, cheap and reliable, and don't be threatened by the warrantee crap...just remember, keep that rubber cover thing on your struts...that can void your warrantee. Aftermarket struts can't void your warrantee, but if u take that rubber sleeve off, they can (it prevents dirt n other stuff from gettin into the barrel of the strut which will blow the strut. I wouldn't want my tein's to blow 1 month after i get them...i'd shoot myself).

Rep Power: 0 Your best bet is definately to go to a local shop that has put Tein's in civics before. At the shop I go to the owner already put them in on 2001 civics before and said it was a piece of cake. He's only charging me 50$ to do my whole suspension. I would definately not pay anything over 150$ though.

Rep Power: 0 Well I would have to agree with civivtec1ps, I did my couilovers myslef. But it is good if you have all the right tools. Which there isn't many really needed. But it is time consuming if you do it yourself, since you have never done it before. And if you DIY make sure on the back you follow the pic really well. If you have any questions about DIY let me know
