Rep Power: 0 New rims change speedo?
Yeah so I'm gettin new rims real soon .. 17x7 .. on my 01 LX coupe and I was wondering if I would have to recalibrate my speedo to read the correct speed for the change in wheel size from my 14" up to 17". My friend had to on his Jetta, I didn't know if Dubs and Vics were different. Any input is appreciated!

Rep Power: 0 the difference depends on the tires you get with them...

you dont need to. it also depends on your tire size. if you get 215/45/17, your speedo will be fine. if you get 205/40/17, it will be a little off but not by much

Rep Power: 296 i got the 215/45/17 and its nice. though, i wish i woulda got the 215/40/17. The 215/45/17 is kinda thick but does look nice and preserves the speedometer.
moral of my post- i woulda got the 215/40 (not the 205/40 though!)
