Best Brand Rubbermaid?

I am in the mist of looking for the good tires for my 17" rims, for my 2k1 Civic sedan....
So many tire brands and read alot of reviews about them such as ;

- Yoko Parada spec II
- Potenza S-03
- Toyo
- Kumho Ecsta MX 711 or 712
- Falkens

I get mixed messages about Kumho's and how they are good for the price but terrible in wet or snow conditions. Being that I live in Canada and will experience alot of wet conditions come November, but not snow until about December. Once the Snow hits it will put on my all seasons. But I still need tires that will perform decent under wet conditions.

I plan to get tire size 215 or 205 / 40 or 45 (roads in toronto are pretty good) /17's.

What is the best brand for the price, under the Canadian condtions my tires will endure?? Thanks for any opinions.

HondaLuver will become famous soon enough
the best tire on the market is the Potenza S-03 for dry and wet. The S-03's come in 215/40 and 215/45, i would suggest the 215/40. the second best is the parada spec 2. The parada's only come in 215/40 and they are really good in dry weather, i header somewhere that they aren't as good in the water.

im waiting for my rims... i have some 215/40 SO3's on order also...

Don't get kumho.

Either S-03, Toyo T-1S or Parada Spec 2 ... No Kumho

From most tire tests in the last year or two, the S03's and the Michelin Pilot Sport's are acknowledged to be the best in overall wet/dry conditions.

Now Goodyear has released a new tire to compete with them called the F1 GS-D3. I took a chance and bought a set after reading a couple of early reviews, and they are an awesome tire for the money (around $30-$40 less per tire than the Bridgestones or Michelins). Apparently everyone else that has bought them thinks so too, because they are rated no. 1 in the max performance tire category survey at Tire Rack F1 GS D3
Best tire I've ever had as far as hydroplaning. If $$$ and possible backorders from Goodyear are of no concern, this is the way to go

Also I'm running 205/50-16 Yokohama AVS ES100 tires on my 2K1 LX Coupe (just put them back on last week before monsoon season began here in the South) and my son has 205/40ZR-17 Parada Spec2's on his hatchback. The AVS ES100's definitely work better than the Paradas in the rain (as far as hydroplaning).

Of course the S-03's & Pilot Sports are excellent--But this is best tire IMHO in wet conditions for the price like you asked for:

1) Goodyear F1 GS-D3 (competes with upper price, but mid-priced)
2) Yokohama AVS ES100 (competes in lower priced tires)
