What is the offset of my stock '02 EX steel wheels and what offset should I look for?

You really should search for this, cuz it gets discussed at least once a week, but I'm too tired to be pissed. The stock wheels are 38, if you're going up to 7" wide wheels, then 40-45 is a good offset to go for. If you're going to 7.5" then go no more than 42.

Really?? oops, i got 45+ on my new 17s, no problems though

Well, It could cause problems... the inner edge of the rim is over 1" further in than the stock wheel. It makes clearances really tight, especially if the car is dropped far. It's probably alright if its not lowered, but I wouldn't go too low.
