id you want "race rims" You're going to have to go lighter than 20 lbs. Try for 1 lb/inch diameter or less.
As far as cheap and light... you're going to find knockoffs for the most part. Some of the RH Evos are kinda light, the CP8 and CP10 are 17lbs for 17", Enkei RPM2s are also... Kosei K1s are 16 for 17", OZ Superleggeras are 15 for 17" (but you may count those as baller rims at $280 each), from there... the prices keep going up.

there is a company called kiss motor sports or something, i saw the ad in a magizine a while back. i called them and was quoted, any rota, 16" with kumho tires $650 plus shipping and $40 for lug nuts. or for $675 plus shipping, you can get them with falken anzenis tires. i forget the website. but they seem like a decent company and have great prices.

I don't really need to give any insight. I e-mailed Dazz Motorsports for the weight of that rim and 17 was the number they gave me.
Work wheels.
I'm waiting for the emotions to come out. They are the wheels you see on the new Spoon EP3R and DC5R but they are not out yet.

BTW, I don't ever recall seeing the VX-8R weigh 16lbs. From what I researched, that 16 inch wheel weighs 20lbs. That's about as much as my 17s.
Look for something around 16 or 17lbs instead of just under 20.
Subzeros are 15lbs each... I forgot which company makes them but I recall them being about 15 or 16lbs each as 17s or 18s.
