Rep Power: 0 ALT is another one of those brands listed in the "you get what you pay for" category. They are probably not the best or the worst but should hold up fine for everyday street use. As long as you don't attempt any circuit racing you will be fine.

Rep Power: 0 Well how much should a good brand cost? I thought that for the ALT X-phile $200 a rim was plenty? But I guess as long as they are an overall ok brand then they can't be that bad! Thanks

Rep Power: 0 For a good very high quality rim such as a Mugen MF-10 for example, it goes for about $660 each in 17". That is with no tire, just the rim. Keep in mind that the Mugen rim is forged aluminum so it is very lightweight, and is made to tighter tolerances than a basic cast aluminum wheel. It is also much stronger too, because of the forging process. Take a look at a Volk Forged Mag rim, in an 18" size they are a little more than $1,000 each. Ouch.

Rep Power: 0 I have 17" ALT 213 rims, the Honda dealer threw them in, to sell me the car. After getting them balanced, I have no complaints.
They aren't the lightest or heaviest at 19 pounds, but they seem to be strong and the finish on them is durable. After a 1 1/2 years they still clean up nicely and shine like new.
