Good tires?
What are good tires for our cars? I want something that is good on both wet and dry (snow is not a concern in Southern California so I dont care how it reacts to snow). I was thinking of getting Kumho 712's but I do not really have a issue spending a little more money on something that is truly better. What are people's opinions on this site with how it works on our car? (I know you can go to tirerack.com and look at reviews but I do not see too many reviews for 7th gen civics, and im curious on how people who have our cars thing of the tires that are on the market).
i have pirelli's p7000 215/35/18 tires and their very nice. their lil loud on the hwy but my system takes care of that so i dont even hear it.
tonight i was getting on the hwy and i was on the ramp doing like 55-60 and they hug the road. very nice tires IMO.

I was going to buy the Yoko Avid H4 but they were sold out but I went with the 215/45/17 Kumho 712's that were on sale and they run excellent a little road noise but not bad for the $$$.

with my last set of rims that i just sold i had Nitto's and they were awesome... i had the 215-35 series tire... i would have ordered Nitto's again with my new rims but they don't make a 215-35 for 19's... so i went with yokohamas... hope it wasn't a bad choice...
Ok, so if im going to drop maybe 2" front and back, if i would get some new wheels(rims) what would i get? like 205/45/18's? Mind you im not gettin my civic for like 2 and a half years, then i gotta get the new tires, damn, and centering rings, and then i have to have all this balanced???

If you want to Stay with Kumho, get the ECSTA MX's. They are much stickyer then the 712's 220 tread wear VS. 360 on the 712's. the Nitto 555 are a drag radial, they have a soft side wall to allow for wrinkling, VERY bad for Corners. the MX's have a very rigid sidwall to allow for harder cornering.
