I know some things can be refinished, but I think that it would be so much money to refinish the rim that you would be better off buying a new one. I wouldn't try patching the tire. thats something you don't want to mess with because its more than cosmetic. Sorry. I know how it feels. The guy that mounted my tires scratched/gouged one of my rims really bad and I made him buy a new one after he got an attitude with me. If you don't buy a new one, you'll have to go through a company and if the refinish doesn't come out right, you're stuck. And well, you'll have to ride on the stock rims assuming you didn't sell them. Time to go price single rims.

I'm really sorry man. How'd you do it?

This sux a monkey ball. do you know if shops will buy a rim like that from someone? (in hopes that they can repair and sell it to someone else?)

if you must know, i made a stupid mistake.
i was turning right and for some reason i all of a sudden thought it was a one way road and i was going the wrong way. then i tried going back and a hit the far right curb with my passenger front wheel. the rest is history..... arrgghhh! do you think i will have to spend more than 200 bucks??? damn i'm sure the shop doesn't sell that tire either..... freakin hankook ventus..... i hate this....

dont bother with a pair unless all of your other tires are in need of replacing. nice rims though.....i think in the back of some car magazines there are places that will fix your rim i dont know if it will be worth the trouble of sending it somewhere and waiting a while etc...

Does anyone know where I can get a new one for cheap? It's a 17" Tenzo Poke10. I really don't want to spend a lot of money on this.

You know him from Defensive Driving, but you don't even know his name?? Its okay, I was tricked by his flipapino screen name too, calling him Philip for like a whole week until I realized that it said phlip. Anyway, DAVE, did you ever hear back from those guys about the rim? I have some spare time, so I'll help you look right now b/c I have nothing to do in class...

400 + shipping and maybe a buyer???? hell yeah! i'll take that, if there's no catch... the cheapest i could find online for just one wheel is $300 shipped w/ tire. even locally it would be that price. might as well spend another couple bills. if you have a buyer i'll sell him all 4 of my wheels for the price of what it'll cost me to buy the new set. that way everyone is happy. i'll PM you shortly, riley... right now i have some HW to do....

yeah, EVERYONE thinks my name is philip cause of my sn. oh well.

thanks for helpin me out fellas...

"i love you man!!!"

EDIT: they are drivable, but i would recommend getting a new tire for the damaged one. better safe than sorry.

The only way to repair it would be to...

Take the tire off the wheel.
Use an orbital sander to smooth down the roughness.
Keep sanding and go to higher grit sand paper.
Then use a buffer and some buffing compound.
Then re-mount the tire (if it's not too badly damaged.
Then get the wheel and tire re-balanced.

Anything is possible with the right tools.

Yeah, I wouldn't be able to do that if my life depended on it. My wheel would be all lopsided from uneven sanding no doubt.

But hopefully this deal with riley will pull through.
