Tires are wore down on the inside!

OK....here's what going on. I used to have a 1997 Honda Accord, it was dropped so the Yoks that I had on it wore down on the inside a good amount. I recently got a 2002 EBP Civic Coupe. So I put my rims and the same Yoks on the Civic. My question is.....! "Do I need to get new tires, or am I rolling aight?" I mean....the tires are pretty bald on the inside, but that was caused by the Accord being dropped! Now the Civic is still sittin stock and high (damn I want it low ) so the bald part of the wheel is not riding on the road. I have a lot of meat left on the rest of the tire....so is this safe or what? I've been riding on them for about......a little over a month and seem to not have any problems as of right now! So hit me back and let me know.....I don't have the ferri right now to buy some new shoes.....and I hate not ridin on my chrome....feel me!!! "ONE LUV"

reason why your tires were worn on the inside is cause you had a very negative camber. anytime you drop your car, your going to get a negative camber. thats why you get a camber kit/alignment so that they can straighten out the wheel and prevent the uneven wear...
how bad is it? my friends camber was off to and the inside wore down so much that the metal wires were showing. he was driving around like that for awhile, not very safe... depending on how bad it is, i would just buy new tires but if your cheap then what i would do is get them mounted again(well i'm assuming you have directional tires). swap the left tires with the right tires(you cant just swap the rims, since the tires are directional). so now the bald side would be on the outside.. from there you can drop your car too and let it wear out unevenly. then i would get new tires and also a camber kit so that this wont happen again.

Yeah...that's what someone told me to do. But I also heard doing the reversal thing can also end up with you putting to much tension on the center part of the bald spot and the meat that's left and it can crack, which will end up in a blow out. I wanna get baggs, and yeah if I drop it or even get the baggs, I'll remember about the camber kit. but much love for the info playboy..."ONE LUV"

oh, your the guy thats interested in bags.. but ya like i said in the other thread, if your seriously interested in getting bags, you should get spanky's... if you do get bags later on, you'll be kicking yourself in the butt for not getting them. you'll be saving atleast 1g by getting his kit.

also one note... when you get a camber kit with bags, each time you lower/raise the car, the camber is going to change again. so best thing to do is get an alignment at the height you'll most likely be driving at and try to always drive at that height. for example.. you get an alignment with a 2" drop, try to drive with a 2" drop all the time cause if you drop it to 4" and drive that way, your tires are going to wear out unevenly again. same with raising it to stock height, the outside of the tires are going to wear out faster

Daim.....playboy....much appreciation for all the important info. I'll keep that in mind when ever I get the bags...! But....in a way....when ever you get bags, and a camber kit, if you hit switch a lot then most likely your tires will wear down unevenly, or is it just when I'm riding. I mean if I'm just posted up somewhere and hitting the switch....will it affect the alignment again, or is it only if I got it set at a 2" (or what ever height it's set at) and I constantly ride on a 3" drop???? Cause I really just want it for a show thing...not really to keep on hitting it. But holla back and let me know wassup...."ONE LUV"

does your tires wear out when your parked? no. so it only matter when your driving. cause thats when tire wear occurs right. 1" isnt going to make a big difference tho. like your example, your car was aligned at 2" but you ride around 3". thats the same as having a stock car and riding around with it dropped 1". i have a 1.75" drop and still havnt gotten a camber kit(whether or not this is smart is another thing ). i would say try to stay within a 1.25" range when driving tho. for example, you get an alignment at a 1" drop, try to drive around 1" but anywhere from 2.25 to -.25(raised) would be fine. or if you get an alignment at 2", 2" would be ideal but anywhere from 3.25 to .75 would be fine.

I know the tires only wear down when I ride...What I was trying to ask was, if I hit the switches, being parked, will that mess up the alignment itself.....smart *** LOL But yeah...will that mess up the alignment? Anyways....like always...appreciate the info.."ONE"

haha my badd, i got ahead of myself.. i just associated tire wear with alignment... well camber is part of alignment and when you lower/raise the car it changes so yes the alignment is thrown off... but then you put it back to the height you got the car aligned at, the alignment is fine. get it? also keep in mind alignment can be thrown off alot of different ways such as hitting a pot hole. i doubt hitting the switches is going to throw off the caster or toe(other two things that are part of alignment) but if your using nitro tanks(so that you can hop the car) then theres a chance it might. but ya you said you just wanted to raise/lower the car and most of the people with bags wont ever use nitro so we wont have to worry about that.
so ya to sum up this big paragraph up, yes flippin the switches will throw off the alignment but when you raise it back to the height you got it aligned at, your alignment should be fine.(who cares if the alignment is way off when your parked tho, its not like your tires are wearing out... hehe now you know how i got to the post i made before this)

n thanks, didnt even do much to it. still looks way too damn high tho, but ya dont want to spend alot of money on this car so f**k it.. have pictures of your car yet? i know you got neepers.. not sure how titans look like but neepers got some tyte *** wheels.. chrome too not too many people here like chrome but gotta love it when the sun hits it and its all blingin.. depending on how i feel and how much it is, i might get my wheels dipped in chrome.

Yeah playboy...I luv the chrome! But I still got luv and props for the speed racers as well. Can't hate on what someone else luvs...feel me. But thanks...I think you've done summed up the whole bagg and wheel situation. So I'll keep all that info in mind when it comes time for me to hook up the baggs. As for my style of Neepers I got....I don't have any pics of them on my Civy right now, but the only pics I got is some from when I had my old Accord. So peep them out....I luv em main....They look tight just sittin and they look clean when spinnin as well....but hopefully I can get some pics of them on my Civy soon. But holla at me when ever dawg...you seem to be a tight dawg. So email me when eva playboy...."ONE LUV"
