bent a wheel what can i do?

well friday night i was on the interstate. the were doing alot of construction on it. well you know when they repave and the roads are two different levels. this just so happened to be at a bridge. so i'm doing 70 and then i hit this dam# ledge in the road and fawked the rim of the wheel up. do ya'll think the DOT will pay for. i went to the local police dept. and had a property damage report filed. i'm pissed!

my friend bent a rim, took it to the place he bought it from and got a free replacment.. but then again, his friend owned the shop.. the shop owner did something with the wheel company and got another one for free somehow...

but ya i would try to get something from the city.. its a good chance you wont get it but what do you have to lose..
