Well i decided to get the Michelin Destiny's....since i couldn't find any pirelli's higher than P3000, and the michelin's are more performance oriented. Now I"m not as adept w/ tires as i am other things....online i read all the plus sizes higher than stock...but it starts out as "plus zero"...will that size fit on the stock w/ out getting rims ( i still have ex wheel covers)......if someone could explain it, that'd be cool...thanks

huh? not too sure what your saying but just get the stock tire size and you should be fine.
the size for ex is 185-65-15.
185 is the width of the tire
65 is 65% of 185 = how tall the sidewall is(i think)
15 is the size of the rim(in your case stock steelies)

There are a couple of questions in your intial thought - what size tires can you do on factory wheels and what is "plus 0". As far as I know the largest tires you can do on a factory wheel is a 205/55/15 - but 205/60 and 195/60 will work as well. Defitly check out the tire calc to see what the different set-ups will do with your speed-O and rev's per mile. Many tire sites do the "plus 0" list to show you that they have other tire sizes - and aftermarket rims in 15"- that will fit your car. I have gone through a bunch of tires on my factory wheels on my daily driver and have found that 195/60/15 is the best comination of performance and handling without sacrificing off the line speed - there are also a bunch of tires avail. in this size. I am using Dunlop Sp Sport A2's right now and I love them - 20 miles each way to work in any kind of weather and they just keep on going... and they turn in, stop and hook up very well in the dry.
