Sumitomo HTR's...heard anything about them?
i went to tirerack and saw the review on the kumho and the tread wear isnt great, plus i have them on my car and they are soft..but i go through them too quick..(b/c i have neg. camber b/c they are 17's) i saw a tire with better tread wear for around the same price $85.00,they are the Sumitomo HTR+ , i havent heard much about them...are they any good?
I've got those tires on my car. I haven't had any experience with other low profile tires, but they do handle well and aren't real noisy. Plus, the place where I bought them, the guy recommended I get the Sumimotos over the other brands like Toyo. The Sumimotos were cheaper than the rest, so I know he wasn't just trying to make a sell. He was wanting to sell me what he thought was best. He also said that he hasn't ever had anyone complain about them. Hope that helps.

i ordered 4 new sumitomo's 205-40-17's....they are on their way...i have kumho's on my car now...but i think that the sumitomo's will last longer...(at least i hope so)....what ya think?
I've had mine on for about 5000 miles, and they still look brand new. The biggest thing the sales guy talked about when he was selling me the Sumimotos was the tread life. So, I would say these will last longer and you should get your money's worth.
