Help, I think-- problem with lug nuts (pic inside)

on every wheel on my car.. I'm missing 2 of those plack washer rings that go around the lug nut. that's 2 from each wheel. isn't that odd? why would it happen, and what could result from them being gone?

Have you had your car aligned recently?

If you had, I watched the dude do a little trick.

It seems he had to remove the stock hubcaps off of the wheels. The alignment eyes would not mount properly. So he took off two lugs, removed the plastic clips that hold the hub cap on and threw them down on the ground. Then he put those two back on and unscrewed the other two lugs to remove the hub cap.

He aligned the car and put the hub cap back on but only put back on the two lug nuts with the plastic rings. That way I only had two plastic rings.

Basically the tech was being lazy by not removing the other two lugs and re-installing the plastic rings. I got pissed and started picking up plastic rings and found almost a hundred on the floor!

If you need some let me know. All they do is hold the hub cap on, but if you lose or break one, then your hub cap will be loose and flap around.

You should only have 2 i think...they mount diagonally and hold on the stock hubcaps.
