Question about Rims

If I get 17"'s w/ 215-45-17 will the tire cap look smaller or do anything good to the gap or the height of the car???

I am not sure what your question is? If you are asking about the overall wheel diameter.... 17s with a 215/45 series tire will get you closest to stock wheel diameter (tire calculator). You can do a search of this forum to find any other related questions/answers. For a look at the size... I have 17s with 215/45 tires. So feel free to look at my ride (my pimp juice).

I have those in Falkens on my car and it looks pretty good...I was gonna lower my car but not anymore because I am afraid my car will bottom out on these PA roads...had the tires rub the bottom of the struts already...
