Wheel offset help.
I'm looking to upgrade the 14" rims and hubcaps on a 2002 Civic LX to 15" or 16" rims , but I can't find any reference as to what the factory offset would be.
I know that when I upgraded the rims on my Miata the offset was important as to how the car drove with aftermarket rims and if you picked the wrong one the car would have a vibration at 65 mph. Also I was suckered into extending the warranty when I purchased the car and don't want the dealer to disqualify a repair because I choose the wrong wheel offset.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard that 40-42 offset should be ok... I'm not too sure about if the rim sizes have anything to do with the offset, but anything between there should be fine... I've got 42offset 17" tenzos on mine

you may not wanna deal with the offset rim problem if u just wanna upgrade to larger rim unless u wanna see ur wheels stickin out,,(doesnt look cool to me,not on a civic anyway)..u can accomplish that simply by installin wheel spacers(H&R has them),and yes u can get the offset right and u have the other side of the tire hidden inside the wheel well where not many ppl can see..so why bother the offset rims..good luck.
