yeah! i just got new 17" rims and lo profile tires and the same thing happens to me it sux man! it's fine at lower speeds but then around 50 - 60 mph the steering wheel starts shaking like crazy! but when i hit around 100 mph it dies down and the wheel is calm and normal again. its wierd i bought it to Tires Plus for a vibration correction special for $20 where they rotated the tires, balanced all 4 wheels and checked the alignment. and even after that the freakin (steering) wheel still shakes. they said it was cuz i have after market wheels and thats how its gonna be

uh... i think they're giving you the run around... 10000000 people in this world have aftermarket wheels and i'm sure only 10 of them would get it if it shook past 60.

You are getting taken to the cleaners. Your tires and wheels need balanced. Also, check to make sure that if you have directional tread that they are rotating in the correct direction.
