Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your help. I know it's been ask too many times but I'm really concerned which tire size to use. I have looked through forums and people have different answers and opinions.
Anyhow, I have a 2004 Civic LX 4DR Stock height and finally was able to restore the rims that I bought 17" and now looking for tires. I only have one shot for this since I only save enough to buy a set of 17" tires.
Should I got for 205/45/17 or should I go for 215/45/17. My biggest concern is tire rubbing and also as much as possible a little of comfy ride due to more rubber. Has anyone tried these on stock height and not ending up getting any tire rubbing? Please post pictures if possible. Thanks guys!!!

I have 215/45s with no rubbing issues on a lowered 02. Plus, it'll mess with your speedometer the least

The width of the tire I don't believe would have much effect on a more comfy ride however a taller sidewall would. I would try and stick with close to OEM size and riding on 205/45 would work well for DD.

As mentioned, 215/45R17 is the closest size for 'OEM' speedo reading with 17s.
215/45R17 = - 0.6 mph diff.
205/45R17 = -0.54 mph diff.
Sure, the difference may seem insignificant, but 1/2 of a mph can get you into trouble if you're already speeding and entering the hot zone to trip a radar gun. ;p
