TPMS- do I have it? 2004 Civic Hybrid
The tire shop isn't wanting to replace my Civic 2004 tires because it might have TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors in the rims and he doesn't want to risk damaging them. There's no light on the dash and there was no alarm when I got a flat so I'd say no, but he's not convinced. How can I tell for sure and convince him of that?

I'd just go to another shop. They clearly don't want to make money.

^^^This. The car does not have TPMS.
This "shop" (owner/manager) is probably a bit gun-shy after (a mechanic) breaking several and having to cover the costs involved in replacing them. Now they don't want to do ANY tires on any car newer than (guess) 2000, because that's the best way to avoid the problem 100%.
They will run out of cars soon and close up shop.
If you can't adapt and change with technology, you are as good as dead.

Do you really want a guy like that doing ANY work on your car?
Even if it did have tpms if he is not competent enough to work with delicate sensors he shouldnt be touching your car..
