Hey Guys, XXR question
Hey Guys, XXR question
Hey guys and girls, I tried searching as much as I could but I kept getting different answers...So im sorry if I repeat a question, but im lowering my 01 Civic ex Sedan 2.25 f, 2.00 r on neuspeed springs....Im looking at the XXR 531 16 by 7 or 16 by 8 ....But theres either a +20 off set and a 0 off set...I was looking at the +20....
My question is if i get 205 45 16...Will there be meat on it and will it clear space without rolling or modifying my fender...I want to clear all wheel gap so it goes Fender to Wheel...Without rolling fenders if I can...Can anyone suggest a tire size for me?
I dont want a little strip of tire like i seen around or 4x4 status heh...

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
keep in mind stock is +38, so you are havin wheels stick out 18mm with a +20. and then there's the wheel width. and then you top it with the lowering.
you can do if you want, but be sure that the fenders will roll themselves up, likely :P
just that they will not roll up evenly.

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
So what would you guys recommend for the xxr 531s I just want to close my wheel gap...and I don't really understand rolling and the size...I know I want the 531s and the 2.25x drop...i don't know if I should get a offset or just get the off set and try to find someone to roll them? If that size tire would fit if its rolled

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
The reason you roll your fenders is that your tire doesn't eat it up.
I would go with the 16x8 +highest offset you can find and the 205/45.
The tires will stretch a little, so you might not have to roll the fenders, but it'll be a close fit.
I'd roll em for extra insurance.
You'll need a camber kit too

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
I'd prefer to stretch a little, that way the tire is slightly angled, and less chance to rub.
And it also gives off a lower profile tire look.

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
I can't really tell you how well they'd fit.
Like Sdaidoji said, stock is +38.
If you went +20, imagine your wheels sticking an inch out over stock.

Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
Im fine with the stance or not...or 0 off set...im only worried about totally messing up the room...I just want to close the gap with the drop...someone told me the +20 16x7...will work but it sounded fishy
Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
Just to give you an idea. This is xxr530 16x8 +20 and yokohama s. drives 205/45. I'm on progress coils measure 22.5in fender to ground front and 22.75 in back I believe.
Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
That's actually perfect ....did you have to roll or anything? And did you max out on the coils dropping it?
Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
Coils are not maxed. 10 threads left on the front. And I don't remember how much on the rear. But rears have to be rolled and the fronts too. Because I rub on bumps and dips on the road in the front. And I have very slight camber in the rear
Re: Hey Guys, XXR question
Ya I wish I would have gone with a 40 series tire sometimes. But oh we'll next time.
Btw who's car is that?
