new tire and rims this spring.

hi, i bought my civic lx 2005 back in September 2010. since its a candian version, it has 185/65/15 tires on and when i bought winter tires i threw out my summer ones. so basically, i only have winter tires mounted on the steelies and the wheel cover of course and nothing for summer. this upcoming spring i was thinking about buying 16" rims for spring/summer with brand new tires. if i get new tires, the size would be 215/50/16. is this correct because i see other people using other sizes on their em2 for 16's. i know i sound like a newbie, but im just making sure before purchasing rims so i dont mess things up. and about the "offset", whats the ideal offset do i need. like do i need to pay attention to them and does it really affect anything?

thanks, mike.

That depends on how wide the wheel is that he gets. Gotta consider that and offset.
