First time Civic owner with a question.

Recently purchased a 2001 Civic Ex Coupe. If I were to change the wheels and tires, how big a rim can you go without having to make suspension changes? I do not want it to look like a lifted pick up.

Also, how badly does larger diameter wheels effect the mpg's?

Appreciate the help.

Re: First time Civic owner with a question.

If you dont wish to lower your car, id say stick with 17s and get low profile tires

Re: First time Civic owner with a question.

I'd say lower it not matter if you have stock or 18's. I put 17's on my 2003 Civic coupe and it has the 4x4 look. but im stepping up from 205/40/17 tires to 215/45/17 tires today to pick up some of the gap.

And im not sure about the MPG's it shouldn't be that drastic i would imagine.
