my 01 lx im dropping it soon the springs are in my trunk i just have to find time and i maybe buying a k20 tomarrow if the guy sells it to me oooh there215/45/17

I know it's reviving an old thread, but I debated for a long time whether to get 16s or 17s because I'm not lowering it. I ended up going with 17s, and very glad.

It's more forgiving on sedans. I don't recommend anyone even bother with rims on a stock height coupe. I don't really know why but it just doesn't look right. Yours looks pretty good though.

I know its an older thread but after seeing this I had to post...
Geez we are practically twins, but mine are 17inch Enkei RS6.* Tires are 215/40r17. Car is still at stock height.

When it came time to replace the tires I gave it some thought.* I really did not want to keep the stocker, so we looked for a used set of wheels with tires%u2026 We found these with close to new tires for $400 for all 4.* Price sounded good, about what new rims would be w/o tires and only a bit more then replacing the tires in the stock size.* *So why not%u2026* well then we saw them in person%u2026 As you noticed they originally came in silver, but were horribly curb rashed by the previous owner%u2026 She swore on the phone they were never curbed or scratched, so we agreed to meet%u2026 This is how these supposedly mint rims looked%u2026

So 4 new tires and used rims for the price of 4 new tires installed on the steelies%u2026 worked for me.

We rode on them for a bit.* Then I decided to go full force and restore them.* I sanded out all the rash and scratches and gave them a coat of black%u2026 leaving the lips polished.*

Here they are all done and installed with the candy blue calipers and drums%u2026
