Re: why are rims so expensive

because they know people will pay for them... keep an eye on ebay look for local pickup only items around you, also look for some used rims with some scratches you can sand them down and paint them up... i picked up some 16's on ebay for $200 like a year ago with tires with 80% tread on them...just got to be patient and keep lookin on ebay every couple days

Re: why are rims so expensive

Tuner wheels are not badly priced, just look into billet aluminum for the minitrucks if you want to see some outrageous prices. When $4000 is a good price, something is wrong.

Re: why are rims so expensive

i got my konig hurry for $90 a piece and theyre lighter than stock at 14 lbs. not the best quality, and they have some shake at highway speeds, but they look nice and havent fallen apart past 2 yrs. next rims will be lighter than these.

Re: why are rims so expensive

wheels are expensive because aluminum isn't cheap. Nor is the machining equipment and the labor required to make them. add vendor mark up and you have your outrageous wheel prices.

Man, forget about painting them...you need to ditch those rims ASAP. You could probably sell them to some baller/gangsta and use the money from the sale to put towards a new/used set. I agree...you should check Ebay, Craigslist, etc. You can always find some decent deals there.

Gearbox, you must have the cleanest car in your area. Do you go over that thing with a toothbrush? lol
