biggest tire on 18inch wheel
biggest tire on 18inch wheel
biggest reccomended tire i can run on an 18 inch wheel with a 2 inch drop...i dont know the offeset there enkei sport series wheels whats the biggest profile i wanna run a 215/40/18 maybe a 215/45/18 i dont wanna bend up the wheels running too low of a profile
Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
with a 2 inch drop, you will be better off with a 215/40/18 tire, and even so you will probably have to get your fenders rolled. I have 205/45/17 and i had to roll my fenders with a 2" drop

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
its possible to run 225+
ur question is vague and we cannot for certain answer it if you dont give us the rim type/offset/width...etc...
and without that info, any information from anyone you get here is invalid and only a "guess"

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
also if your drop low enough you'll rub anyways meaning more upgrades/mods if u don't wanna rub. on my 18s i have no fingers gab but no on 195/50/15 only lil less than 2 finger gap.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I'm done. I just get a little upset when people modify their car with no respect for what the hell they're doing.
1. How wide is your rim? 8 inches? 9 inches? 10 inches? I think most rims are 8.5 inches but this will directly determine how wide your tire can be. And for reference, I'm running a 215/35/18 tire, I'll explain why in part 2.
2. WHY? WHY? WHY? Why would you throw on random tire sizes without considering your speedometer and odometer? If the rolling diameter of your new wheel/tire combination is larger than your original rolling diameter, then each revolution of your axle will actually take you a farther distance. This means you'll be traveling that much faster than your speedometer reads so you'll have to get it recalibrated each time you change wheels/tires.

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
^lol I agree with this guy...18's look ridiculous on a civic. I think even 17's look dum on a civic...thats why i took of my 17's and went with 16's. IMO you cant go wrong wit 16's and some 205/50/16 tires on a 2 inch drop
Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
16's on a civic = tricycles
LMFAO. I am just messin' wit ya man. If you feel like you gotta have 16's then go ahead as for me they are too small so I resort to an 18". Everyone has their own definition of rice. Mine is the kind that Uncle Ben makes and you cook it on the stove add vegetables and you have a tasty meal...

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
^ lol u right..everyone has different taste... BUT IMO i think Civics werent made for 18 inch rims...but some people can get away with it..I know one guy who has 19inch chrome rims on a 7th gen. But his car is a show car..he can get away with it.
Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
Can't afford to drop in that low. I would be replacing front lips every other week. And I no longer have those wheels lol...I have some lightweight 18's on the way..

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
I love my 18's. I am running with 215/40/18 Nitto Neogens....the ride is harsh, but I take it easy for the most part....

Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
It must be a harsh ride with 18's...when I had my 17's on 40 series tires i had to drive 15mph because every bump or pothole i would feel it in my spine....and after a couple of bent rims...I decided to with 16's and 50 series tires. Looks good...performs good...and ride is almost close to stock. 18's do look nice but i can only imagine the ride. Anyway where is this kid? He starts a dam thread and doesnt bother to look at it.

I actually ride w/ a 40 series tire w/ an 18 also I can go any lower due to the size of potholes I drive across. The ride is something I have gotten used to and like I said I will sacrifice the ride any day to look good lol
Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
i would think no matter what u do either 15's 16's 17's 18's, basics mods, swaps whatever your still rice because its not stock. everyone a ricer in some way just take a close look at your car
Re: biggest tire on 18inch wheel
are you kidding me im far from a ricer
im a die hard proud mustang owner...1987 5.0 notch best time of 14.87...i have 5000 dollars in the car including the price of purchasing it... truthfully i would never waste money on my hondas performance...like beating a dead horse...its totally pointless.
18s are big for a civic correct. since money goes into my stang...80 dollars for a near mint set of 4 wheels with so/so tires is a pretty good deal...
black wheels have a tendency to make things look smaller...white wheels in my opinion look bigger.
on the car the wheels dont look ricey at all.
plus i run stock exhaust
and it will remain that way forever.....die hard import owners can be cocky as hell sometimes.
18s are FINE
and so are weld 10 hole 15s on a civic...look better than rotas in my opinion
