Rep Power: 0 Confirmation on 2002 Acura EL / Civic Si Brake Torque Specs
Hey folks,
So I'm going to replace the rotors and pads in my '02 EL and wanted to confirm the torque specs for the front and rear caliper mounting bolts and the smaller bolts that I remove to change pads (don't know what those are officially called).
I believe the caliper mounting bolts are torqued to 80ft.lbs and the other bolts are torqued to 24 ft.lbs. Is this common to both the front and rear calipers or are there different settings for each? I believe that this car uses the rear brakes from the same year Civic Si, if that helps.
Cheers!
Jon

I think the smaller slider pin bolts are around 25ft.lbs but I would tighten them just a bit more. I did that to my dad's corolla and the bolt fell off.
