Which tire size???
Whats going on guys? It's been a minute... Well, it's time to change my tires ... I don't need recommendations of manufacturers just the tire sizes...I'm currently on 215/40/18 on tein ss-p and i haven't rolled my fenders yet. I don't get any rubbing or anything and don't have a gap. Well, besides the current size I'm curious of what exactly would I be losing or gaining (pros and cons) if i decided to go with 215/35/18 or 225/40/18. I know that some of the cons would be more road noise with the 215/35 and possible rubbing with the 225/40. But anymore info I would really appreciate you alls help! I have the money to get the same setup but wanna see if I can still get the same outcome for less money. Thanks!

Re: Which tire size???
With 215/35 the ride will be more harsh. It may also handle a little better due to the smaller sidewall. Other than that, I can't think of anything.
If 215/40 is working for you, I say stick with it. Why change something, when it already works well?

what kinda tires u gettin? also, stick with the 215/40, 35 will be too harsh, and 225 will be too large, u will rub. i recommend nitto neogens, great for lowered cars, i love the hell outta mine

Re: Which tire size???
I'm currently rollin on Falken ziex 512's and i really like them. The treadlife and the grip and what not. but thats just me... I think I woul kill the nitto's fast .
Re: Which tire size???
stay with what you got man...nothing wrong with Azenis, and if the size you're running doesn't cause any issues, why change?
and when you getting back anyway?

Re: Which tire size???
i say you go 225. theres so much more contact patch when i moved up from 185's. i would also suggest a thicker sidewall just because depending on the tire, you dont want sidewall flex when taking corners.
whats your price range for getting tires? will these be dedicated summer tires or do you just want all seasons again?

Re: Which tire size???
well my price range is about no more than $110 per tire but I also have bigger rims than you. I'm also looking for all season tires for now. when I get more things and power out of my engine i'll probably get some summer tires and then also some all season tires for my stock wheels.
Re: Which tire size???
id get some taller sidewalls and wider tires. you will see a difference, flex wise, when you move up sizes in sidewalls. I guess im the only one who recommended 225/40/18. I know thin sidewalls are the "thing" but really, id rather get more bang out of my buck rather than having a bent rim and worst performance

Re: Which tire size???
My sidewall is already 40... and i'm most likely gonna stick with the same size i have now. 225 will most likley rub without my rolling my fenders. Thanks everyone for the info/opinions that you have given!!!

Re: Which tire size???
Well I know with how low i am and i think the fact that I got bigger rims that you 2 mine will rub....
Don't know if you can see how low I am and don't have much of a gap, but here's a pic(I'll see if I can find a side view)

Here's another...
