185/65/15 or 195/60/15?
185/65/15 or 195/60/15?
hey guys,
i plan on getting tokico blues & tein h techs on my 03 ex coupe.
for tires i plan on getting falken ziex 912's...so, right now i'm debating on these two tire sizes. should i stay w/the stock 185's or upgrade to the 195's? will it affect the performance at all or does it matter?
thanks in advance!

Yup.
I'd even go with 205/55/15.
185/65/15 will give you the better ride quality, but 205/55/15 will perform better. 185/65/15 is for granny's.

those 50s are too small. ur car will look weird, mine did. the sidewall size only affects ur car very minimal, cuz the smaller wheel will spin a whole 360 slightly faster than the bigger one, meaning that the torque increases but not that noticeable. if they have 205/60or65/15 that would be best. more traction is better. u dont wanna end up in a ditch or flying of a cliff at 50 on a hairpin turn lol. thats my opinion.

yeah, thats what i figured...also, keep in mind that these are going on 15's.

you're talking a cm in sidewall height with the tires you've mentioned. not all that noticeable. my 04 ex came with 195/65s on the stockers and i just put a new set on them... i might ride them for a while, tired of the harsh ride on 205/40R17s....and i have blues and s-tech springs. bout a 1/2 inch gap rear and a inch or so up front. but my rear sags a bit....

get 205/55/15
don't listen to anyone else that says anything else...
as for me, I'm running 215/t50/16. which gets me closest to stock... but I kinda regret it cuz they look kinda fat (im use to rinning low pro. I ran 205/45/16previously)

Re: 185/65/15 or 195/60/15?
205/55 is the best compromise between getting a nice sidewall height and closing the gap.... if you get 205/60 your sidewall will be huge even bigger than if you had just stuck with 185/65. its not gonna be a pretty site your wheels will look tiny in those tires, although you'll have no gap.
