So, as I was pulling into Wally World, a gentleman in a raggedy *** chevy pick up truck ran the stop sign and swerved into my turning lane. Instictively, I swerve out of the way, and slam my car up against the curb. I stop my car, thinking the guy will stop since he damn near hit me, and I turn around, and he's already run the red light and taken off halfway down the road. My rim is all messed up looking. I think the tire is okay, and I work for a tire shop, so I get the rim for cheap, but still... this is money I'm having to spend cause we have some crazy ****ing redneck running loose.

ouch!! im sorry man, thats happened to me before but not while i have had my new rims. Btw, how would you get scrapes like that out, on say a machined lip?? like i have a small scrape on mine

Nah, it's just the right front rim. I gotta take off the assembly tomorrow, and check the backside of it to make sure I don't have any curb damage, like an air bubble or some **** in the tire.

LT, I have no idea how do get scrapes out.. maybe some filler or something? Who knows? I know electric130 just finished up refinishing some rims. Search his post.

Damn that sucks, I hate ppl who can't drive, but so do most lol. You might be able to sand it all down, but then you'd have to repolish the lip and recoat the wheel.

I feel u bro, my front right rim hit a curb too as I was swerving to miss a f*ckn' b!tch who just decided to stop out of nowhere. I roll by her slowly and she was staring at the street sign to see if that was the street she had to make a left on. Some people should not be driving! Costed me $120 to repair that rim.

i know how painful it is to look at when u've just scraped the curb, u almost don't want to get out and look. there are shops that will do rim repair? ^^^

yeah there are some shops out there, however they're quite expensive to fix. they wanted $150 to repair it and I talked them down to $120
