I really dont want to ***** his thread and don't have time for this bs with you, but you should really work on your spelling, its called "born" not "burn". Good luck in life!
Back to the topic, I'm not a huge fan of big wheels mainly because of the sacrifice in ride quality and the risk of breaking them but I gotta say those look really nice on your car, you should paint the calipers black or silver

Yeah sadly the quality did go down. But back in the day the post were great and they were new objectives and not the same old "Which intake gives me the best HP" or "How can I get max HP with little money" and were people searched before posting. I'll PM you some nicer not "ricer" sites.

Anyways why did you sell your bimmer? BTW your going in the right direction with your civic and it looks good. What kind of suspension are you looking at? Don’t paint your brakes just save up for a Big Brake Kit. Or just do everything the right way the first time so you won't end up like this guy...

Yo, dude I had a '99 540 it had the v8 and was insanely fast...loved that freaking car but it had soooo many issues, oil leaks, coolant leaks, different sensors kept going bad....it took premium gas and got only 16mpg...i finally just gave up and got the civic..boy oh boy the difference has been night and day...i got 2 weeks between fill up whereas before with the bimmer I would fill up on monday and be empty on thursday..

For the suspension, was looking at the tein SS coilover becuase it seems pretty popular..but I called a local tuner shop here in chicago and they suggested the KW V2 coilver setup for what sounded like a very good price...so I may go with that....not in any hurry though...

damn, Is there really that much difference in gas consumption? I was actually looking at getting an E39 this spring, I heard they'r great cars and everyone who owns one that I know absolutely loves it.

Don't get me wrong i LOVED that car...it just broke my heart too many times...if you get an e39 go for the I6 not V8....i would suggest a 530i it has a much more reliable and fuel efficient engine and rack and pinion steerring vs. the 540 shitty reticulating ball...but it there is no subsittue for the torque in the 540 pushing you back in your seat..if was freaking amazing....here was mine...

looks good! I would love a 540i but the 530 inline 6 would be the more logical option, its better on gas and handles slightly better than the 540, I gotta agree with you on the V8 torque tho, I've been in one and it pulled like a ****, but most 540 guys around here are having some sort of problem with their clutch, I think the V8 is too powerful for the clutch to handle, they also seem to have some electrical problems. It's all luck tho buying a used car, if I find a really well maintained 540 I might go for it instead of the 530. I'm just feeling my civic days are over, too many kids have riced out civics in my area and they do street racing and **** which has made the cops extremely picky, during summer time I was getting pulled over on a regular basis for absolutely no reasone, I have a feeling this won't happen with a bmw since their name still hasen't been ruined by stupid ricers.
