16"s or 17"s ??!?
Hey guys, having a problem deciding between:
16" 5zigen Fn01r-c (hyper black)...14.5 lbs each
17" 5zigen Fn01r-c (hyper black)...16.5 lbs each
I like how 17"s look on our cars, but the 16"s will be 8 lbs total lighter than the 17"s
the 17"s are still light though. What do you guys think?>

With larger wheels you get more rotational mass, makes the car slightly slower but you wont spin them nearly as much. I went from 18s to 16s back to 18s. I like the look of a bigger rim and with boost, it doesnt matter if your are rolling 22" spinners, you will spin anyway.
Wheel weight really wont make a difference unless the wheel weighs 50 lbs a piece. and 8 lb difference and 1" more diameter is hardly noticable in a DD.

I am having the same problem but the wheels that I want to get are the volks T37 but i dont know either to go with 16's or 17's. but volk either way are still light. I wanted to say go 16's but 17's look hella better.

17's are fine. Like everyone else said, less weight ain't going to do much. We drive economy cars. Go for the 17's, because if your really concerned about weight, go for 15's.

well i already have konig troubes that are 17"s on my grey metallic 4dr. They look bad ***, but i honestly want something lighter...the 17 5zigens are 10 lbs lighter and will pretty much be the same color as my car so thats good.
The 16"s on the other hand will be a total of 18 lbs lighter than the konigs i am riding right now! lol (when i say total, im adding the weight of all 4 rims...not the tires though).
Thats y im having trouble deciding...ive seen 15" and 17" of the same wheel i want on 2 4dr civics on the forum and the 15"s are difinately too small. I like how 17"s look though lol
either way I go, im going to get bigger tires..not low profile, so it will fill the wheel gap more...i have a 1.5" drop from tein already w/koni shocks too.
--i dont know what tire size it is for 16" wheels but the tires i would get IF i got the 17"s are - /215/

hey "kunhohan", i love how ur car looks w/the headlights and side markers and everything. haha u put that koni sticker where the model of ur car is supposed to be lol..that looks tight
Ive shaved the civic and lx emblems on mine...d**n i need some pics lol
Why don't you just slam some 19" chrome NINJA-FIRE-STAR-WING-FIGHTER rims on her and drop it on bags...you'll be all set...HAHAHAHA
Nah...go with 17's...they'll be fine...not any less comfort than 16's and look a whole lot better...17's FTW
