rim decision
with christmas coming up im trying to get my parents to chip in some money for a new set of rims on my silver 01 ex coupe. i would like 17's black with a chrome lip. all the ones ive seen have been a bit pricey, im looking for something less than 600$. throw me some suggestions please!
thanks
thanks
yeah get rota slipstream, 16 inch. If you try to go the cheap way on "nice looking" wheels you will gain alot of rotational mass slowing ur already slow civic down(no offense i have a ex coupe too), but a 16 inch rota slipstream is like 13.5lbs and you can get 4 of them for under 900. Best deal i think for the money.
Yes, it's an Acura EL

Even our cars are played out. SOAD, your sig is disturbing. I love it.
mattyg23, you really should look and see for yourself what rims there are out there for that price. We have vendors who would be happy to sell you a set of wheels I'm sure.

WORD!!!!!!!! and there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever, the reason something gets played out is because it is a near flawless product= 7th gen honda civic.

Rota's are decent rims.
Motegi's are a definite no no, unless your getting the trak lites (I think that's what they are called). I had motegi's before, and they looked decent but heavy, and I'm not into performance gains. However, it slows your car down a lot with acceleration.
Whatever you do, get a decent weight rims. I think mine weigh about 18-19lbs, I'm not sure exactly what they weigh. They are ok in weight, not light, but not 25lbs like my old motegi's.
