Question about hub centric rings and steelies

Question about hub centric rings and steelies

My car is going to honda on monday, and im takin my rims off, but the aluminum hub centric rings, are stuck on the rotor...can i put my steelies on with the rings on, or do the rings got to come off...thanks

You can get those things off easily. I've had many hub rings stick. All you need is a flat head screw driver, and a rubber mallet or hammer. Just be gentle, and don't use too much force. You could end up cracking the hub rings, if they are not metal.

i have plastic hub centric rings and i just used some needle nose or some clamps and pulled them off. grabbed them at the outer edge part of the hub centric straight on and pulled. had to use a bit of force but easy and doesnt damage anything.

deffinitley get them off before you put the oem wheels on! the hub-rings fill in the gap from you oem wheels, so, therefore...your wheel, will barley be hangiing on....like they sadi tho...use a flatheat, wrap in a cloth or something, and gently....gently hit it like a chisel.
