I was just wondering if anyone has had an issue with their Rotas coating coming off. I just bought some full royal sports bronze C 10's and just the shipping box rubbed some of the bronze off. It is down to the shiny metal. It's not bad enough to notice but it makes me wonder how well these wheels will hold up.

I'll try to post some pics later. It is somewhat noticable but I don't know if its bad enough where I want to send the wheel back and wait a month for another one.

umm.. i'd call Rota in Cali and let them knowwhat happened. if you got them from Discount Tire they have a year warranty on the finsh of the rims, but call ROTA and tell them, they should resolve this

I ordered the wheels from JLB Motorsports. It looks like the wheel was damaged in the shipping process. It looks like something heavy was put on the box and the cardboard rubbed the finish off. JLB said I would have to file a claim with Fedex but it may take a few months and it was not a gauranteed thing they would cover the wheel. JLB also said that the full royal sports bronze was the worst finish for coming off. It seems very thin. So I'm just going to deal with the marks. Its not that bad. Also JLB was awesome to deal with about this issue. They have great customer service and I would definately recommend them.

might have to check them out and get a set of rotas. probably will have to cancel my set of 5Zigens since I have to pay for my tuition now. blows *****. how much did you pay?

yea my sports bronze was horrible i would touch the finish and it would flake off...

lol i know thats why i want the Zigens so horribly bad, but now they are telling me up to 10 weeks before the wheels come into the states

I have a Rally Red coupe. The lugs are chrome. I think black would have been better but the chrome were free. I just mounted the wheels and they look good. I didn't know about the bronze on red but I like it a lot.
