Tires and rims to use year round...?

So I want to upgrade my tires and wheels. But I don't want to swap them when it gets wintery in NY. So is it even possible or smart to excpect to keep my rims in good condition and get good handling on some all season tires.

If not can I keep wheels on all season, and just swap the tires?

Any recomendations on some hot tires and wheels that are durable and aren't gonna bend easily on potholes bad roads, if running them year round is possible?

Salt ruins wheels.
Keep the steelies, put snow tires on them, get good rims and use them when the weather is nice.
All season tires blow. They do everything moderately well. You're better off with tires that blow through snow, and another set that has good summer grip anyways.
