camber correcting tires?
so i was on the phone yesterday ordering my wheels and tires and i got to talking to the guy on the phone about my choice of tires. as a few of you know, im searching for a rear camber kit for my car and i mentioned it to this guy. he said nitto has a camber correcting tire in the neogen series and you dont need a camber kit. i looked on nittos site and looked at the neogen tires and didnt see anything about it. has anyone ever heard of or seen a camber correcting tire?

well...from my experiences at Discount Tire...i have seen that the tire is great for a lil bit of camber, but if your are sitting like -1.5 camber off...you'll need a camber kit. it is a great tire for grip and wet-weather. the Neo Gen’s inner shoulder tread blocks are designed to reduce the amount of irregular wear you might have if the car is off-camber.The slanted, three-dimensional tread blocks provide the necessary rigidity for improved cornering while the combination of circumferential and slanted grooves evacuate water from the contact patch. meaning...you'll get great grip, wear, and comfort out of a tire. it isnt much more than a Kumho 7111...and those tires SUCK!....

Its not camber correcting, its just designed for negative camber so they don't wear out as fast. You should still put a camber kit on the car and correct the alignment.

so basically the tire is just thicker on the inside? well that doesnt sorrect ****. just gives you longer on the inside edge. im going to get a camber kit. just waitin for someone on here to get rid of one so i can snag it. i ordered one from eibach 4 months ago and still havent gotten it so i cancelled my order. ive already got the front, just waitin on the rear.

^^ you got it now..... no such thing as camber correcting tire.... camber is not controlled by tire. Neogen is just for ppl insisting on neg camber for street use that still want a longer lasting tire.

pretty much what he said.... no tire will be able to control your negative camber. thats wha SPC, Ingalls, Progress, etc.. are for
i'd recommend a top-mount for the front tires since itll be easier to adjust the camber. the bolt is confusing.

yeah ive got the cam bolt **** from eibach. its pretty easy to adjust. but they way this turd on the phone was describing the tire, he was saying that it was shaped to wear evenly with negative camber. he lost me when he said "camber correcting tire".
