BFGoodrich® Traction T/A

Im thinking about getting those at all 4 corners. anyone have any expereinces with them? im sure its both quieter and provides better traction than my firestone stocks.

Great tires. I bought a set for my Cavalier...loved them. They do wear somewhat quick, but for the performance they gave I didn't care.

i have them on my miata, and they are very good all year tires! i am absolutely happy with my choice.

they are very stable, really dont like breaking loose, very little flex in tight/hard corners, quiet and so far are holding up really well. i would opt for the H rated ones over the T.

my main selling point was the high ratings they got for snow traction. my car is an all year daily driver, so i needed something that could handle the nj snow. they handled it very well.

however, since you live in LA, and probably dont get much snow, you might be able to get away with a summer tire. falken azenis 615 is an amazing tire. toyo proxis 4 are good tires also i hear.

I have them on my 03 coupe for about 15k miles so far.

In dry conditions they offer FAR SUPERIOR traction.

In wet conditions, I haven't pushed on them very much, but to me they seem to break loose about equal to the firestones.

In snow, I can't remember how the firestones were, but these work pretty good.

The most drastic change you'll notice is dry performance. They stick much, much better than the firestones and handle the pressure of moderate speed turning much better. I do not regret buying them at all. The only downsides to them are that they are directional, so you can't rotate them like your stock tires.. and they are heavy. At first I saw a big drop in MPG after the new tires, but I am thinking that it may have been due to the colder weather when I first got them. Now that it's hot again, my MPG has gone back up.. (last tank went 418mi, took 11.444gal = 36.5mpg very good for me).

They came stock on my old Alero...
The dry traction was good, the ride was good, and the road noise was low...
BUT
I liked the Control T/A a lot better... lasted longer, seemed to handle the water better, dry performance was about the same.

And I agree with pbfoot, you're probably better off with a summer tire.

yea not much rain down here in southern california, but i do go up to northern california sometimes and i need a grippy tire in the rain, ive seen my friend slide off an on-ramp on his 04 civic lx sedan. the freeways arent designed very well in south bay/ san jose area. ive hydroplaned there many times. so a balance of dry and wet traction is ideal for me.

I put a set on my wife's car (yes, we had two 02 Civics) and they were much more stable than the OEM tires, especially in wet weather, but we had A LOT of problems with flats with those damn things and ended up replacing them. Maybe it was just dumb luck but I drove my Civic with low profile tires on the exact same roads without a single problem but we had three flats in short order with the Traction T/As and not one of them was from a puncture. Each one was like a blowout.
